User-Agent
SiteUDBot/1.0 (+https://siteud.com/bot)What it does
- Sends ordinary HTTP GET requests — about the same as one visitor opening a page. It doesn't submit forms, run scripts or try to log in.
- Monitoring requests follow the interval set by the site owner (at most once a minute); one-off checks are started manually by a user.
- SEO checks also read robots.txt and sitemap.xml and request one non-existent path to confirm the site returns a 404.
- SiteUD rate-limits checks of the same site.
Where requests come from
Requests come from cloud servers in these regions; outgoing IPs are not fixed:
- Virginia · US East
- San Francisco · US West
- Frankfurt · Germany
- London · United Kingdom
- Singapore · Southeast Asia
- Tokyo · Japan
Allowing or blocking it
Monitoring has to load your page to know whether it's up, so it does not follow robots.txt Disallow rules. If your firewall or WAF blocks SiteUDBot, monitoring will report false outages — allow the SiteUDBot token in the User-Agent. If you didn't start these checks and want them to stop, block the User-Agent or contact support@siteud.com.
